The ING Thesis Award is an annual event during which ING Belgium selects the best financial thesis in the country.

In 2014, 102 students submitted their master thesis of which 5 were selected to participate to the final. During the final, we had to present our master thesis in front of a jury composed of ING top executives, academics and entrepreneurs. Later in the day, we presented our topic in front of an audience of +/- 200 people.

I received first place with my thesis on Bitcoin.

Besides the competition, ING offered a public speaking workshop and we received an inspirational speech about the ways robots and other technologies will change our future.
